  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  4. Transfer the dough to a pizza peel or baking sheet dusted with flour or cornmeal.
  5. Spread the garlic ricotta mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly on top.
  7. Sprinkle dried oregano and red pepper flakes if using.
  8. Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or place the baking sheet in the oven.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  10. Remove from oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
