Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Transfer meatballs to the slow cooker.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together apple butter, bourbon, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs in the slow cooker. Gently stir to coat.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until meatballs are cooked through and sauce is thickened.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve these meatballs over creamy mashed potatoes or alongside roasted vegetables.
