Lavender Lemonade

Lavender Lemonade

Lavender Lemonade is a refreshing and aromatic beverage combining floral lavender notes with tangy lemon for a perfect summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 cups water, divided
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and lavender sprigs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup water and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved, creating a simple syrup.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the dried lavender. Let steep for about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Strain the lavender syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove lavender buds.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, lavender syrup, and remaining 4 cups of cold water. Stir well.
  5. Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs if desired.

Notes

For a sparkling version, substitute still water with sparkling water just before serving to maintain the fizz.
