  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, gently toss mixed berries with granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Transfer the berry mixture to a greased 8-inch square baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Pour melted butter over the oat mixture and stir until crumbly.
  6. Sprinkle the oat topping evenly over the berries.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the berry filling is bubbling.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
