Ground Beef Tacos

These Ground Beef Tacos are a quick and flavorful Mexican-inspired dish, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner with seasoned beef and fresh toppings.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 8 small taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  3. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Stir in taco seasoning and water, simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Warm taco shells according to package instructions.
  6. Fill each taco shell with seasoned beef.
  7. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, onions, and cheddar cheese.
  8. Add sour cream if desired, then serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lime juice and some chopped cilantro before serving.
