Greek Yogurt Bagels

These Greek Yogurt Bagels are a quick and healthy twist on traditional bagels, made with simple ingredients and packed with protein for a delicious breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a dough forms. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
  3. Lightly flour your hands and shape the dough into a log shape. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.
  4. Roll each piece into a ball, then poke a hole through the center with your finger, stretching it to form the bagel shape.
  5. Place the bagels onto the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with honey or water and sprinkle with sesame seeds or seasoning, if desired.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a sweeter touch, add dried fruit or cinnamon to the dough. Serve warm with cream cheese or your favorite spread.
