Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss well to coat. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the shrimp onto the soaked wooden skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
  5. Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from grill and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of chili flakes into the marinade or serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
