Fresh Homemade Salsa

This Fresh Homemade Salsa is a vibrant and zesty Mexican condiment made with ripe tomatoes, onions, and cilantro, perfect for dipping or topping your favorite dishes.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 medium white onion, finely diced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, diced onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and garlic.
  2. Add the fresh lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  3. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve fresh with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, or eggs.

Notes

For a milder salsa, remove all the seeds from the jalapeño or substitute with a mild bell pepper.
