Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • Tomato slices

Instructions

  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty about 3/4 inch thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. If desired, place cheese slices on the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  6. Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty on a bun, topped with lettuce, tomato, and any preferred condiments.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy turkey burger.

Notes

For extra moisture, consider adding a tablespoon of olive oil or finely grated zucchini to the turkey mixture before cooking.
