Baked Tacos

These baked tacos are a delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring crispy shells filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese, perfect for a family dinner or casual gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 small taco shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (for serving)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned and onions are translucent; drain excess fat.
  3. Add the taco seasoning and a little water as directed on the seasoning packet; simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray and place each taco shell into a muffin cup to keep their shape.
  5. Fill each shell evenly with the beef mixture.
  6. Top each taco with shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, olives, and green onions.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and tacos are crispy.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving with sour cream.

Notes

For extra crunch, try adding crushed tortilla chips inside the shells before filling, or serve with a side of guacamole for added flavor.
