Strawberry Mousse

This light and airy strawberry mousse is a refreshing dessert made with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, perfect for a sweet ending to any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. In a blender, puree the strawberries with sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
  2. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
  3. Warm the gelatin mixture gently until dissolved, then mix into the strawberry puree.
  4. Whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  5. Fold the strawberry mixture gently into the whipped cream until fully combined.
  6. Divide the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  7. Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.

Notes

For an extra touch, garnish with mint leaves or a drizzle of dark chocolate sauce before serving.
