Chicken Alfredo

Chicken Alfredo

Chicken Alfredo is a rich and creamy Italian-American pasta dish featuring tender grilled chicken and fettuccine tossed in a luscious Parmesan cheese sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken breasts for 6–7 minutes per side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove and let rest.
  3. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently.
  6. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until sauce is smooth and thickened, about 3–5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips.
  8. Add the cooked fettuccine and sliced chicken to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding sautéed mushrooms or a pinch of nutmeg to the Alfredo sauce.
