Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (12 oz) Dr Pepper soda
  • 1 cup cherry preserves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  5. Add Dr Pepper, cherry preserves, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then return chicken to the skillet.
  7. Cover and cook on medium-low heat for 20-25 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

For extra depth, add a splash of balsamic vinegar or serve with a side of steamed vegetables to balance the sweetness.
