BBQ Cheddar Burger

Enjoy a juicy BBQ Cheddar Burger topped with melted cheddar cheese and smoky barbecue sauce, perfect for a flavorful American classic meal.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 small red onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions and form into patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Lightly oil the grill or skillet and cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of cheddar cheese and allow it to melt.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or skillet until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading barbecue sauce on the bottom bun, adding the patty with melted cheese, then layering onion, tomato, and lettuce. Top with the bun.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy.

For an extra smoky flavor, try adding crispy bacon or swapping cheddar for smoked gouda.
