Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp almond milk
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • Sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together oat flour, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the egg, Greek yogurt, almond milk, honey, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
  3. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but manageable.
  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a ball. Poke a hole through the center with your finger to form a bagel shape.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place the shaped bagels into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  8. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway if your air fryer requires it.
  9. Remove and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a sweeter twist, top the bagels with a light spread of cream cheese and fresh berries. These bagels also freeze well for meal prep.
