Vegan Brownies

Deliciously fudgy and rich vegan brownies made with wholesome plant-based ingredients, perfect for satisfying your chocolate cravings without any dairy or eggs.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup almond milk (or other plant milk)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the almond milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips, if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For extra fudgy brownies, try adding a tablespoon of ground flaxseed soaked in 3 tablespoons water as an egg substitute or serve warm with vegan ice cream.
