Garlic Bread

Garlic Bread is a classic, flavorful side dish featuring crusty bread topped with a savory garlic butter spread, perfect for complementing Italian meals or enjoying as a warm snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread loaf in half horizontally.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Mix until well blended.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered bread for extra flavor.
  6. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the edges are crispy.
  8. Optionally, broil for 1–2 minutes to achieve a more toasted top, watching closely to prevent burning.
  9. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, add a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes or a dash of Italian seasoning before baking.
