Sugared Candied Cranberries Soda

Enjoy a refreshing and festive Sugared Candied Cranberries Soda, combining tart cranberries with sparkling soda for a naturally sweetened, bubbly treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar, plus extra for coating
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups sparkling soda (club soda or lemon-lime soda)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved to create a simple syrup.
  2. Add the fresh cranberries to the syrup and cook for about 5 minutes until the cranberries soften but hold their shape.
  3. Using a slotted spoon, remove the cranberries and place them on a wire rack to cool for 10 minutes.
  4. While still slightly sticky, roll each cranberry in granulated sugar to coat evenly and set aside to dry completely, about 15 minutes.
  5. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and add sparkling soda.
  6. Top each glass with a handful of sugared candied cranberries and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your festive soda!

Notes

For an adult twist, add a splash of vodka or gin to the soda before garnishing with sugared cranberries.
