  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 3 star anise
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pour apple cider into a large pot and place over medium heat.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, orange slices, and ginger to the pot.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and reduce heat to low.
  4. Let it simmer for 20 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
  5. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla extract, adjusting sweetness to taste.
