Puff Pastry Brie Bites

Delightful puff pastry bites filled with creamy Brie cheese, perfect as elegant appetizers or party snacks.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 oz Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 1/4 cup fig jam or honey
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into 12 equal squares.
  3. Place a cube of Brie cheese in the center of each puff pastry square.
  4. Add a small dollop of fig jam or honey on top of the Brie.
  5. Fold the corners of each square over the filling and gently press to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to give a golden finish when baked.
  7. Place the bites on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh thyme leaves if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a small slice of toasted walnut or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper inside before baking.
