peanut butter cookies

Deliciously soft and chewy peanut butter cookies that are quick to make and perfect for any snack or dessert craving.

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated and form a smooth dough.
  4. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Flatten each ball slightly with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top before baking or add chocolate chips to the dough.
