Peanut Butter Blossoms are classic soft peanut butter cookies topped with a sweet, melty chocolate kiss, perfect for holiday treats or any time you want a delightful, nostalgic dessert.

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Granulated sugar, for rolling
  • 48 Hershey’s Kisses chocolates, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, and butter until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and then roll each ball in granulated sugar.
  7. Place the balls 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Immediately press one Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie and allow to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes.
  10. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For extra softness, store cookies in an airtight container with a slice of bread to keep them moist longer.
