Mint Oreo Balls

Homemade freshly prepared Mint Oreo Balls on white plate

Delightfully creamy and minty Oreo balls coated in rich chocolate, perfect for a refreshing dessert or party treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies (about 1 package)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 12 oz white chocolate, melted
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Crushed Oreo crumbs or green sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs, softened cream cheese, and peppermint extract. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the balls for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler. If desired, add a few drops of green food coloring and stir until evenly colored.
  6. Dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, using a fork to coat completely. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  7. Place the coated balls back onto the parchment paper. Quickly decorate with crushed Oreo crumbs or sprinkles if desired before the chocolate sets.
  8. Refrigerate the balls for at least 1 hour until the chocolate is firm.
  9. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra minty kick, try drizzling dark chocolate over the white chocolate coating or adding a tiny piece of fresh mint inside each ball before coating.
