Korean BBQ Beef

Korean BBQ Beef is a flavorful and tender grilled dish marinated with a savory blend of soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil, perfect for a delicious and authentic Korean meal.

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef ribeye or sirloin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, green onions, sesame seeds, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, mix well, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the marinated beef slices for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked through and slightly charred.
  5. Remove from the grill and let rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
  6. Serve hot over steamed rice with kimchi and other Korean side dishes.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with additional toasted sesame seeds and serve with a spicy dipping sauce on the side.
