Hot Chocolate Cookies Treats

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the mini marshmallows and chocolate chips gently.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet spacing about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but centers are still soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra indulgent treat, drizzle melted white chocolate over the cooled cookies or serve warm with a glass of cold milk.
