Honey Garlic Ground Beef and broccoli stir-fry

A quick and flavorful honey garlic ground beef and broccoli stir-fry that’s perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner packed with savory and sweet notes.

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, water, cornstarch, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Add broccoli florets to the skillet, stirring to combine with beef. Cook for 3-4 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring well to coat everything evenly.
  5. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil and sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes if using. Stir to combine.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve this stir-fry over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal, and add a splash of rice vinegar for extra tang if desired.
