  • 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup colorful candy-coated chocolate pieces (e.g., M&Ms)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the peanut butter, eggs, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the oats, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, candy-coated chocolates, and walnuts (if using).
  6. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cookies are set.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle a few candy pieces on top of each cookie dough ball before baking to give a colorful, festive look.
