Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Moist and naturally sweetened, this Chocolate Chip Banana Bread combines ripe bananas with rich chocolate chips for a deliciously comforting treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with melted butter.
  3. Mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.
  5. Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
