  • 1 ½ cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or elbow macaroni)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooked chicken, diced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, and cooked pasta.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the soup mixture over the chicken mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. In a small bowl, mix Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and melted butter. Sprinkle this evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, broil the casserole for 1-2 minutes after baking, but watch closely to avoid burning. Serve with a fresh green salad for a balanced meal.
