This Cheesy Breakfast Casserole combines fluffy eggs, melted cheese, and savory sausage for a hearty and delicious morning meal perfect for family breakfasts or brunches.

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 2 cups day-old bread cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with olive oil or butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. Add the cooked sausage, diced onions, bell peppers, and bread cubes to the egg mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  5. Pour the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the casserole is set in the center and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving. Cut into squares and enjoy!
