  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Tomato slices, for serving
  • Mayonnaise or preferred condiment

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, chopped jalapeños, diced onion, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently to combine.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the patties, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of each patty.
  6. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the burgers reach desired doneness.
  7. Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  8. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the buns, then adding lettuce, tomato, and the cheesy jalapeño burger patties.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
