A flavorful and creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta featuring tender, spiced chicken tossed with al dente pasta in a rich, spicy sauce—perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and season with Cajun seasoning on all sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Sauté until vegetables are tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked pasta and chicken back to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat well with the sauce.
  8. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or serve with a side of garlic bread to complement the creamy sauce.
