ranch dressing

A creamy and tangy classic ranch dressing made with fresh herbs and buttermilk, perfect for salads, dips, and dressings.

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice or white vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.
  2. Add dried dill, parsley, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the mixture and whisk to combine.
  3. Stir in lemon juice or white vinegar for a slight tang.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Give it a good stir before serving. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Notes

For a thinner dressing, add more buttermilk. Use fresh herbs for an even brighter flavor.
