Beef Burger

A juicy, flavorful beef burger made with fresh ground beef, perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection, ideal for a classic American meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt and black pepper; do not overwork the meat.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties about 3/4-inch thick.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  5. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  6. Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  7. Assemble the burgers by layering lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and the cooked patties on the buns.
  8. Add ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise as desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider mixing finely chopped onions and garlic into the beef before forming patties, or serve with crispy fries for a classic combo.
