Apple Cider Cookies

Delight in these soft and flavorful Apple Cider Cookies, infused with warm spices and a hint of fresh apple cider for a perfect fall treat.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, apple cider, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture; beat until combined.
  5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Once completely cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, try adding finely chopped dried apples or a drizzle of caramel sauce on top before serving.
