Air Fryer Fries

Crispy and golden Air Fryer Fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries, perfect for a quick snack or side dish with minimal oil and maximum crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into evenly sized fries.
  2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch, then pat dry completely.
  3. Toss the dried potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until well coated.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
  5. Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  6. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  7. Check for desired crispiness and cook an additional 2-3 minutes if needed.
  8. Remove fries and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the fries overnight in cold water and dry thoroughly before air frying. Serve with ketchup, aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.
