Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs

These Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs are crispy, golden pockets filled with warm cinnamon-spiced apples, perfect for a quick and delicious dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 sheet refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture onto the wide end of each dough triangle.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and roll up into a ball, pinching edges to seal completely.
  6. Brush each apple pie bomb with the beaten egg to help them brown.
  7. Place the bombs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, spacing them apart.
  8. Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  9. Remove from air fryer and let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For a gooier center, add a small cube of cream cheese inside the apple filling before sealing. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce.
